After some years of disappointment, the Gunners are slowly returning to their old self under Mikel Arteta. The Spanish boss had the patience to rebuild the team and take them back to the top four in the English Premier League. It took some time, but now Arsenal are reaping the fruits of their hard work.

Arsenal has played some games less than the other contenders for the top four. So, if they win all those matches, they can return to the top four at this crucial point of the season.

The Gunners did not have a busy transfer window in January. But if they qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season, then they will surely target some top players to compete in the European matches. Let’s have a look at the potential transfer targets that Arsenal will eye on in the summer:

Fabian Ruiz

Fabian Ruiz is one of the top targets for many clubs as he only has one ore year in his contract with Napoli. There are strong rumours that the Spanish midfielder is ready to move from Italy and look for new options. Napoli will also be forced to sell him as not to lose him for free after one year. Ruiz would slot comfortably into the role being occupied by Xhaka at present and with Roma expected to return for the Swiss midfielder in the summer. The price tag for Fabian Ruiz will be around 16 million pounds, and so, Arsenal will surely make a move to strengthen their midfield.

Patrik Schick

Patrik Schick has emerged as a target for Arsenal as Mikel Arteta eyes a forward or two in the upcoming transfer window. This season, the Czech Republic international has starred in the Bundesliga, contributing 20 goals from as many appearances in Germany’s top flight.

The report adds that Leverkusen may not be prepared to sell their key player for anything less than 60 million euros. While a wide range of players has been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal is monitoring Schick’s situation.

Ruben Neves

Ruben Neves will be another option to strengthen the midfield for Mikel Arteta. Ruben Neves is one of the players reportedly on Arsenal’s transfer wish list as they look to bolster the squad in the summer.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been heavily linked with a potential move to the Emirates Stadium. After Aubameyang left, Arsenal needed a player who could be lethal like their former captain.

Calvert-Lewin is one forward that has been named as a potential target for Mikel Arteta’s side, with the Toffees star reportedly of interest to the former Manchester City assistant coach.
