Dr. Erkut Sogut is aware of the speculation surrounding his customer but insists that the German playmaker will stay in north London until at least 2021.
Mesut Ozil will stay at Arsenal until at least the summer of 2021, claims his representative Dr Erkut Sogut, with it possible that another contract extension could be agreed in north London.
A World Cup-winning playmaker has dominated headlines in Emirates Stadium because penning a lucrative deal back in January 2018.
Questions are asked of Ozil’s worth into the cause, his devotion and if the funds spent might have been better used elsewhere.
Praise has also been found occasionally, with the 31-year-old believed to have enjoyed a welcome return to form because his former team-mate Mikel Arteta inherited the managerial reins at Arsenal.
Ozil is enjoying his football again and has said that he has no intention of breaking his present deal.
Sogut has reiterated that stance, telling news of this exit talk that has raged around his customer on a regular basis: “At the moment, we do not even speak about it, since he has one-and-a-half-years left.
“He has 15 weeks to go. Until then, he’ll stay at Arsenal, for certain. He’ll remain until the end of his contract. There is no chance he will leave.”
Sogut added on what could occur when Ozil reaches the end of his terms: “He’s going into the end of the contract, he’ll be 32 years old, he’ll be a free agent, and it is not a bad position.
“And he’ll have probably 100 million followers on the social networking side at that moment, his promotion will be larger by that time.
“And he is 32, so he can go and play in top-level football for another two or three decades.”
It might be that some of the time is spent at Arsenal, with Sogut refusing to rule out the possibility of Ozil prolonging his affiliation with the Gunners.
He explained: “I look at each option, I want to maximise and find the best contract for him.
“The choices are coming in now. Maybe he’ll stay and have a new contract with Arsenal.
“Maybe he’s a fantastic ending to the season and great next time and the club provides him a contract.
“It is down to the club in the long run, not to me or Mesut. If the club isn’t giving him an offer then he can not stay. If he receives an offer from the club he’ll consider it.”
Ozil has taken in 253 looks for Arsenal because being snapped up by Arsene Wenger from Real Madrid in September 2013.
