Brentford

Who are Brentford?

Brentford is an English football club founded back in 1889 they currently compete in the English top-tier having gained promotion via the playoffs at the end of the 2020–21 Championship campaign

They currently play their home game at “Brentford Community Stadium”, with a capacity of 17,000.

At the end of the 2020/21 season, they took third place in the EFL Championship, after which the team became the winner of the playoffs for reaching the Premier League.

Brentford will spend the 2021-22 season in Premier League and do their best to remain in the competition.

What are the predictions for next season?

EFL Championship play-off winners, who haven’t played in the top flight since the 1946/47 season, will mark their first campaign in the Premier League with a home match versus Arsenal on August 14.

That will surely be an interesting one, but dates against Crystal Palace, Wolves, Brighton and Aston Villa should present chances for points before they host Anfield side, Liverpool.

Interestingly, there are not many back-to-back matches that look immediately like lost causes, but two games against Manchester City in just under a month and a half – along with a trip to the Reds – at the turn of the year could have a bearing on the club’s overall season.

The Brentford Community Stadium outfit’s inclusion in the 2021-22 campaign isn’t without intrigue.

Ivan Toney, the Bees’ top scorer (33 across all competitions), is attracting admiring glances from a lot of clubs, but the Brentford management insists he won’t be sold in the summer.

Even so, the team have an admirable recent record of landing quality players, replacing the likes of 2019-20 stars, the English attacker Ollie Watkins and the Algeria international Said Benrahma with minimal issues.
