Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from a poor start in the Premier League when they face their bitter rivals, Chelsea.

The North London giants have already spent over £70million this summer making three signings and are on the verge of agreeing on a deal for Norwegian midfielder, Martin Odegaard.

It is no secret that Arteta is under immense pressure after a poor start and signing a new player has been his priority at the moment.

Arsenal on the verge to agree Odegaard’s transfer

Arsenal appears to be moving closer to finalise the transfer of Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard.

According to The Independent, the agents of Real Madrid midfielder have arrived in London to discuss talks over a possible move to Arsenal.

Spanish outlet AS say Carlo Ancelotti is willing to sell a 22-year-old star after falling out of favour at Santiago Bernabeu.

The Los Blancos midfielder was reportedly left out of Saturday’s team for Real Madrid’s 4-1 victory over Alaves in La Liga after making it clear he wanted to be guaranteed a place in the first-team.

Arsenal renewed interest in signing of Ramsdale

The Gunners are preparing another bid for Sheffield United stopper Aaron Ramsdale, according to The Sheffield Star.

The outlet claims the fee could be in the region of £28m, Ramsdale has been a transfer target for Mikel Arteta’s side all summer and would provide competition for current No.1 stopper Bernd Leno who has been the only reliable option for the Gunners.

When asked whether Ramsdale would depart from the club the Blades boss Slavisa Jokanovic said: “Right now he is a United player. It will depend on our club and Arsenal too because they are pushing for him but at this moment there is no change.

“He is a talented English player and I understand Arsenal are interested, but this is the business. If he is one of the best players in the league his price is high and it’s up to Arsenal if they want him. They need to spend a lot of money.

“I will be disappointed [if he leaves] but it’s part of the realistic situation – Arsenal is pushing from one side and I am pulling from a different side.”

Arsenal boosted in their pursuit of Marcel Sabitzer

RB Leipzig head-caoch Jesse Marsch has revealed it will be tough to keep hold of Marcel Sabitzer in the summer, amid interest from Tottenham and Arsenal.

According to German outlet Bild, the North London giants will face competition from the Spurs as well as the German giants to Bayern Munich.

Sabitzer has just one year left on his current deal and therefore RB Leipzig could look to cash in on the 27-year-old to prevent him from departing from the club for free next summer

“In recent years, Sabitzer has become an important figure for the club,” said Marsch.

“But it is difficult to keep a player if he doesn’t want to stay. I understand. You think about it when a club like Bayern is interested, and this is just one of many clubs [interested].

“We have had good conversations. We are both quite mature and we realize that the situation can change or remain the same.”
