Arsenal have been busy this summer as the transfer window edges closer.

The Norht London giants have announced their intentions to strengthen their team at the end of a disappointing season in recent years and they have so far added quality players.

Albert Sambi Lokong, Nuno Tavares and Ben White have been added already – and Mikel Arteta still planning to add players before the transfer window ends.

Signing a goalkeeper remains a priority for Arsenal, with German star, Bernd Leno the only trusted keeper in the team after Matt Ryan’s exit.

Arteta wants to sign Ramsdale

The Gunners have been chasing Sheffield United’s stopper Aaron Ramsdale.

Arteta’s side have seen two previous bids turned down, however, football.london claims they have now made progress as they are in ‘advanced talks’ after improving their offer for the England international.

The Blades slapped £30million for the stopper, however, the Gunners keen on to reduce their price.

Sheffield United head-coach Slavisa Jokanovic left Ramsdale out of his team for their 1-0 EFL Cup victory over Carlisle on Tuesday night, adding fuel to the rumours that a transfer could be close for the 23-year-old.

Chelsea are in talks with Vlahovic’s agent

The North London giants are keen on landing a centre-forward this summer and have been keeping tabs on Serie A outfits, Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic, who caught the eye by founding back of the net 21 times in Serie A last campaign

The Spurs are also interested in the 21-year-old star and will reportedly make a move if a £60m contract for Inter Milan’s striker Lautaro Martinez does not materialise.

However, they face stiff competition from Inter Milan, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid, who have now firmed up their interest in the forward, according to Corriere dello Sport .

The Italian newspaper claims there has been ‘no lack of contact’ between the Gunners and Vlahovic’s representative Darko Ristic.

Fiorentina are in no rush to sell their star player and have slapped £51m asking price for his head.

Arsenal set to beat Tottenham in the race to sign Takehiro Tomiyasu

Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu has been rumoured to be a transfer target for both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs have been strongly linked with a £15m move for the Japanese defender and were reportedly close to landing him before signing Cristian Romero instead.

Tuttosport claims that Tomiyasu’s versatility and relatively low transfer fee makes him a perfect addition to the Gunners and the Spurs.

Tomiyasu can play centre-back as well as a right-back and he could be a bargain signing for Mikel Arteta.
