Despite spending money this summer, Arsenal are still far away from being in the race for the Premier League title.

The defeat to Chelsea on Sunday showcased the gap between the Gunners and other contenders.

Mikel Arteta has signed Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale earlier last week while having also added Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ben White, however, more incomings could be on the way as Mikel Arteta has been under pressure.

Arsenal target Asensio

Having finalised a £30m move for Martin Odegaard Arsenal are keeping tabs on another Real Madrid star, Marco Asensio.

The Gunners need to improve their offensive end as both Nicolas Pepe and Alexandre Lacazette have failed to live up their huge price tags.

And according to Fichajes the Gunners have “made contact” with Real Madrid about the viability of Marco Asensio who is believed to be valued at £35m.

Kolasniac set for exit

After the arrival of Nuno Tavares, Sead Kolasinac has become a third-choice left-back at the club and he is now edging closer to bringing his nightmare at the Emirates Stadium as Turkish giants, Fenerbahce are keen on signing him.

With the Gunners keen to move him on, Bosnian midfielder will now have his deal terminated by the Premier League club, according to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur.

The former Schalke defender is said to have agreed to give up part of the final year of his wages and is believed to join Fenerbahce.

Torreira handed escape route

Arsenal out-of-favour midfielder Lucas Torreira has been given an offer that will allow him to depart from the Gunners this summer.

Torriera impressed in his first two campaigns with the North London giants following a £26million transfer from Serie A outfits, Sampdoria.

However, his game-time has steadily decreased under Arteta, having had a loan spell at Atletico Madrid as well.

The midfielder has spent most of the summer attempting to find a new team, however, Arsenal didn’t receive any concrete bid and now Gianluca Di Marzio claiming that Bundesliga outfits Eintracht Frankfurt are now the favourites for his services.

It is reported that the Bundesliga side have made a “formal offer” for Lucas Torreira, who is their top transfer as they look to boost their midfield options.
