Arsenal have already spent around £75million on three signings Brighton’s Ben White, Anderlecht’s young playmaker Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares from Benfica.

According to The Telegraph, Torreira has held talks with Lazio as he would prefer to head back to Italy, where he played with Sampdoria before making a move to Arsenal in the summer of 2018.

He could still be used in a possible deal for Joaquin Correa.
