Arsenal have been one of the busiest teams in the current transfer window however, in Friday’s defeat against the newly-promoted Premier League team, Brentford has underlined that they still need to strengthen their squad.

The Gunners have opened their Premier League season by suffering a 2-0 defeat.

New arrivals Ben White and Albert Sambi Lokonga both selected in the starting XI, while Nuno Tavares was used as a substitute, as the trio made disappointing debuts.

Arsenal still have 16 days before the end of the current transfer window and Arteta is expected to sign quality players.

Here are the latest transfer rumours concerning the north London club.

Real Madrid reveal the price tag for Odegaard

Norwegian midfielder during his temporary stint at Arsenal last season, as Mikel Arteta hopes to lure him back at the Emirates Stadium.

Odegaard has made a return to Real Madrid after his loan deal at Arsenal expired, however, his future with the Los Blancos remains up in the air.

That now appears to be a bit clearer after the Norwegian wasn’t involved in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the first La Liga game.

The Los Blancos are keen to sell him and, according to ABC , they have now slashed their asking price to £34million.

Spanish newspaper AS earlier last week claimed that Spanish giants demanded £42m (€50m), however, confidently state that Odegaard is ‘heading to London’.

With both teams on the same page, the 22-year-old midfielder is likely to make a return to the Emirates Stadium.

AS Roma step up Abraham pursuit

Tammy Abraham who has been Arsenal transfer target is likely to be on his way to Serie A giants, AS Roma.

Sky Sports reported on Saturday that AS Roma had agreed a £34m (€40m) fee for the English forward and will pass the medical within days.

That tallies with Corriere dello Sport , who claims that, while AS Roma are optimistic about their chances, the ‘pressing’ from the Gunners makes them a little ‘cautious’.

Torreira wants to sign for Lazio

Lucas Torreira wasn’t included in Mikel Arteta’s squad against Brentford.

The incident underlined his status as unwanted at the Emirates Stadium, however, a transfer away from the team is yet to be agreed upon.

Lazio are believed to be keen on luring the Uruguayan midfielder at Stadio Olimpico and the player himself is believed to be keen on signing him. ,

Corriere dello Sport says Marseille planning to hijack Lazio’s move for Torreira, who spent last campaign on loan with Atletico Madrid.
